Mt Lowe Road Hike to Inspiration Point

We had a great hike up to Inspiration Point yesterday via Mt Lowe Motorway.  We started at Sunset Ridge at the top of Cheney Trail.  

Round trip was almost exactly 11 miles (5.04 miles up and a little under 6 miles on the descent).  

We started at approximately 2,000 feet elevation and climbed to 4,532 feet!

Sunset Ridge to Inspiration Point
We took to the trail to the Mt. Lowe Camp Ground with a shortcut. 
The first 2 miles of the hike was on asphalt on the Mt Lowe Motorway
The trail transitioned from asphalt to trail.
